Stone Readings: An ancient yet very new way of divination for this modern world.
 My Mayan guide calls himself Redwood as his original Mayan name is a closely guarded secret and the name he took when he became King is unpronounceable by most Western
people. ‘Redwood’ is also a little joke: the Redwood tree is older by far than the Silver Birch and he says he is older than the great Spiritualist guide, Silver Birch! He is shown in the portrait as a relatively young man in his prime of life. I also know him as an older man, shrouded in pure white light which he has to tone down before he can show himself to me, such is its radiance. He and I have shared countless lifetimes, usually with Redwood on the other side of life, working with and through me on this side of life, as we are now. His level of learning is amazing and I know other guides are in awe of his knowledge. He is a gentle presence, never pressuring, always loving and always full of amazing wisdom and insight. He is my main guide, the one who has been with me and walked with me throughout this incarnation.

This method of divination is very old, almost timeless. When Redwood first taught me how to do this, I thought I would never come to terms with it, but I have found I love to work with the stones, these ‘ordinary’ pebbles, every one of them so different, every one having its own vibration and ‘feel’. I do not work the way the Mayans did; they marked out a piece of land and threw the stones, spending hours considering the way the stones fell, their relationship to one another and as a whole. I use a slightly different method but one that works as well and follows the original way of working without my throwing them, in that the placing is ‘random’ and the relationship of the stones on the cloth and to each other is as essential to me as it was back then.
It works like this - I have a variety of stones, each representing an aspect of life - physical through emotional to spiritual. I have a cloth of deep purple, with two lines of silver ribbon stitched onto it, dissecting the cloth into Past, Present and Future. One stone is designated the ‘I’ stone which is placed in the centre of the Present and is ‘you’ in the Now. Then, with eyes closed, I take two handfuls of stones and place them on the cloth. Only then do I look where they are in relation to each other and to you, the I stone. I have yet to find that the stones lie. If anything, it is my interpretation which may be at fault, but invariably and inevitably the truth has come out and the stones, quite simply, do not lie. I do not know how they do it - I just accept that they do. As my shaman said recently to me, ‘write your truths.’ This I will do.
